Cult War Raging In Rivers State Leaving Trail Of Dead Bodies

Rivers State – At least 12 people were killed in Rivers State in the course of violent clashes between various cult groups. The incidents have been occuring at different times and in diffent places of the state.
Many fear that the cultists’ activities pose danger to Rivers State residents, especially when political activities would start in full swing.
Some groups went on rampage in Elelenwo area of the state, moving from house to house, shooting anybody in sight.
Over five persons were killed at Elelenwo cult war on Thursday night. Among the victims were a married couple. The cultists banged on the door of their house and shot them on the spot when the door was opened.
In another incident, on Friday, two cult groups, Greenlanders and Icelanders, clashed in supremacy war. The conflict left over 12 persons dead. The battle zone was Emughan, one of the six districts that make up Abua/Odua Local Government Area of the state. The casualty figure is likely to increase, as many of the
participants sustained bullet wounds and are in critical condition.
Investgations have revealed that there is tension in the entire Abua/Odua Local Government Area because of the recent activities by cultists.
Many residents have also expressed fears about the incessant clashes among cultists, who were described as jobless youths who were tasked by politicians to fight their political opponents.

Big Girl Chizoba Vivian Caught With Cocaine, Excretes 5 Wraps

Trafficking hard drugs is become the dangerous escape route for ladies these days once they fall on bad times financially. As you read this, 32-year-old Chizoba Anya Vivian under arrest at NDLEA office after she was caught with banned substance on-board a Qatar Airline flight from Malaysia.

Chizoba was said to have aroused suspicion following her frequent visit to the toilet. On arrival at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, three wraps of methamphetamine were found in her possession.

The NDLEA commander at Lagos Airport, Mr. Hamza Umar, said the suspect excreted two additional wraps of the dangerous drug while under their observation. His words:
“The suspect was found with three wraps which she excreted in the aircraft. While she was under observation at the Lagos airport, she excreted two additional wraps of drugs. The five wraps which tested positive for methamphetamine weighed 80 grammes.”
Preliminary investigation also revealed that the suspect left Ghana where she ingested the drugs to Malaysia. In Malaysia, she was denied entry and made to board another flight back to Nigeria. She started excreting the drugs at the airport in Malaysia.

The suspect said she was offered N500,000m to smuggle the drugs to Malaysia.

“I was promised the sum of half a million naira but my problem started when I had immigration problem in Malaysia. I was denied entry and made to return to Nigeria after two days. While in the aircraft, I excreted three wraps and two other wraps in the NDLEA office,” Vivian said.

Vivian hails from Onitsha in Anambra State. She will be charged to court.

Genevieve Nnaji Finally Moves Into D’Banj’s House In Lekki

“Yes it’s true. You know that Dbanj love Genny very much and he didn’t send her away before but she left on her own and when she pleaded with him to come back, he just have to forgive her. He has taken her back and she is very happy!”
Those are the words of a close source in D’banj’s camp who confirmed the story to Naijaeast’s Blog that the two are back. Genevieve needed a man in her life and to end 2013 without one would have been sad.

Sources are alleging that the love birds are already talking marriage but the source told me that such may not be true. He said D’banj has already told her that their relationship should be free of pressure…

I think Genny should just be happy that at least she now has a man and allow things to take their due course in order not to drive D’banj away again, because most single successful guys do not like to be rushed. lol!

Whatever the case may be, I wish them a better 2014 in their love life.

Terry G Attacked And Sent Off Stage During Performance In Hometown!

Oche Gabriel Amanyi, otherwise known as Terry G got more than he bargained for in his hometown during the weekend.

The singer, who was at the IBB Square, Makurdi in Benue State for Benue youth fiesta was attacked while performing on stage.
The event, which attracted hundreds of people, was organized by the member representing Guma/Makurdi federal constituency, Barrister Emmanuel Jime.
It was gathered that while the ‘son of the soil’ mounted the stage to perform, some youths, suspected to be hoodlums, began to throw sachet water on the musician and later broke bottles and charged towards him.
The security representatives  brought the situation under control.

Prominent Nigerian artistes including J. Martins, I Go Dye, Ice Prince and Pastor Nicodemus Mbatsavtampu performed at the event, which was lively, before it was interrupted.

Father Christmas Robs a Bank in Florida

A bank robber disguised as St. Nick held up a Florida bank by threatening to harm the teller with a gift-wrapped package, WPTV reported.
The thief, wearing a Santa hat, beard, white gloves and sunglasses, fled with an unspecified amount of money from a SunTrust Bank in Port Orange on Monday, WJXT reported.
The package in red wrapping paper was placed on the counter and the bad Santa passed a note implying that it contained something dangerous, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
The evil Kris Kringle walked out with cash and left the package in the bank.
Police evacuated the branch and called in the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad, according to the
Daytona Beach News Journal. Although they wouldn’t reveal what was inside the box, officials said it was harmless, the Sentinel said.

The popular saying that hell has no fury than a woman scorned came to pass on Monday at the Surulere residence of a banker, Bimbo Ajetumobi Daniju and her gospel singer husband Olalekan Idowu Daniju when the woman allegedly took a knife and sliced her husband’s penis during a fight.
Bimbo, staff of a new generation bank in Lagos was said to have accused her husband of not taking care of her and their only child, Opeoluwa. The husband disagreed and while fighting, Bimbo allegedly seized her husband’s penis and sliced it with a knife. Bimbo denied using a knife but her fingernails to teach her husband a lesson on how not to treat a woman. The ugly incident happened on Monday at their Falolu Street, Surulere home.

2015: Jonathan’s Campaign Posters Flood Abuja Again

President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election posters for the 2015 presidential election have again flooded Abuja, as pictures of the president were sighted planted in strategic places in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Christmas Day.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), residents woke up and saw the posters on their walls and around their premises.
Unlike the previous posters of the president, which were placed in the high brow areas of Asokoro and Maitama, the ones that hit the capital city on Christmas Day were mostly concentrated on Garki and the the suburbs of Abuja.
One of the posters read: “Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year” and signed by an unknown group called ‘The Nigeria Mandate 2015′.
Reacting to the development, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben
Abati, said the president had not mandated any individual or group to place the posters on his behalf.
Abati pointed out that since the president had not publicly announced his political decision for 2015, it would be improper for him to begin to paste his posters for 2015.
“The president does not know anything about the posters, which are being displayed in the cities,”Abati told NAN.
Jonathan has repeatedly said it is too early in the life of the administration to begin to campaign for re-election in 2015.
He has insisted that it is better for him to concentrate on the provision of service to Nigerians rather than dissipate energy on an election that is still far away.

Patience Jonathan Blasts Governor Akpabio: Stop Deceiving My Husband, You Have a Secret Agenda

Governor Godswill Akpabio is one of the governors believed to be close to President Goodluck Jonathan in the political calculation of 2015, but those who know what is really going on are saying that Akpabio is also one of those on Jonathan’s 1,000 political watch list that ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo exposed.

As you read this, the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party as a result of President Jonathan’s second term ambition may have claimed another casualty. The latest, according to an inside source, is the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, as his secret ambition has finally come out open.

Inside sources within the nation’s seat of power informed THE INK newspaper that Nigeria’s first lady and wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan descended ferociously on Akpabio at the Presidential Villa in Abuja recently, accusing him of being a cog in the wheel of the process to resolve the crisis in the PDP.

According to the source, a visibly angry Patience Jonathan shouted at the Governor and asked him why he is busy deceiving her husband, President Jonathan.

She was said to have told Governor Akpabio point blank that he should stop masquerading himself before her husband as a peacemaker and concentrate on his now revealed Vice Presidential ambition.

Reports reaching the First Lady, the source continued, have confirmed that Governor Akpabio’s treachery and pursuit of his Vice Presidential ambition is responsible for the failure of the reconciliation process in the party and one of the reasons the G7 Governors have ditched the party.

It was further revealed that the First Lady accused the Governor of being on a mission to destroy Jonathan for his selfish interest. She is said to have cited Akpabio’s recent spate of private visits to leading traditional rulers and politicians in the North and other parts of Nigeria.

The President’s wife is said to have told the Governor that she was aware that Akpabio is working for his own ambition while pretending to be working for the re-election of the President. The source who spoke on strict confidentiality said that a visibly embarrassed Akpabio was dumbfounded and broke down in tears.

26yr old Emeka Rodney wins MTN Young Designer of the Year 2013

 26 year old Rodney Emeka, the Creative Director of McMeka, won the MTN Young Designer of the Year competition at the Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2013. He runs McMeka, a Lagos based menswear design label which solely focuses on bespoke tailoring which he founded in Sept. 2011. 

The young PH bred designer came up against formidable names like Waneami, Diana aLa Vid (DLV), Ayo Van Elmar, Reni Smith, Ladunni Lambo, Sho by Adesola Obebe, Tumilla by Tumi Ladega, Kenneth Ize and Siaiano who were also shortlisted as finalists for the MTN Young Designer of the Year. Deeper Life Church members disagree with Kumuyi over anti-Christmas statement

Certain members of the Deeper Life Bible Church, were seen attending other churches yesterday, to partake in the Christmas celebration with other Christians.
This may be as a result of the position taken by the General Superintendent of the church, Pastor William Kumuyi, on the celebration of Christmas.
Kumuyi had caused a bit of a stir earlier this week when he reportedly condemned the celebration of Christmas, describing it as idolatry.
However, his opinion has generated a number of reactions across all spheres of the Christian fold.
According to reports :
A popular media personality and member of the church, who did not want his name mentioned, was spotted at the St. Barnabas Anglican Church Cathedral, Murtala Road, Ilorin, where he had gone to worship with members of his family as a way of protesting the position of his General Overseer.
Another member of the church also told the newsmen that he worshiped for the first time
in 20 years at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Sabo Oke in Ilorin, because of the pronouncement of the Deeper Life Church general overseer, which he did not agree with.
His words; “I was born into Baptist Mission; I attended Baptist schools in my younger days and got my childhood Christian upbringing as a Baptist. I feel bad that a man of God that I so much revered could say such a thing about our Lord Jesus Christ even in the open.
“If that position is not retracted, I may not say yet, what will be my decision as a member.”
Meanwhile it was observed yesterday that doors to many Deeper Life Churches in Ilorin, the state capital, were closed while the traditional campground of the church at Eiyenkorin was deserted when it was visited.
Sources revealed that the customary camping that used to spread to the early hours of December 26, was suddenly cut short on Sunday and members were instructed to go back home.
The Christmas celebration was, however, very peaceful in Ilorin yesterday though with the presence of armed security men in major churches.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state, Olufemi Fabode, while speaking with journalists confirmed that the command increased the presence of its personnel around the churches in town to ensure a smooth and safe celebration.
According to him, the combined men of the usual patrol vans and the newly inaugurated ‘Operation Harmony’ were drafted out to complement security arrangement in the city while the number of patrols at night were also increased to include several stop and search spots at many locations during the night.
